How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Goatee
If you would like to cast your spot on Hollywood Boulevarde, then follow these steps to recreate the iconic goatee.
1. Grow Out A Connected Chin Beard And Mustache
First things first, you must grow out the facial hair surrounding your mouth. That includes the hairs on your chin, besides your lips, and under your nose. It doesn’t matter which length you decide to go with here, as goatees can be just stubble or two to three inches long.
2. Shave Around The Goatee
Next, you need to shave everything that’s not your goatee. Lather your face with warm water and shave lube, then use a nice razor to shave the cheeks, jawline, and sideburns. You can leave the sideburns as long or as short as you’d like, but the key to a goatee is to ensure the hair is not connected to your chin and mustache.
3. Style Your Goatee As You See Fit
Finally, feel free to have some fun with your goatee. You can try quite a few different styles, such as a short and stubbly goatee or a long pointy goatee with a curled mustache. You can use beard butter and a good brush to style your facial hair and get the look you want.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect goatee:
- Shave Lube: Use all-natural ingredients when shaving to get nice, smooth skin.
- Beard Butter - Original: This keeps your facial hair hydrated and allows you to style your goatee as you see fit.
- Beard Brush: A beard brush will help you tame and style your unruly hair.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Thin Beard Shape
Growing a thin beard is relatively easy because it’s whether you have thin facial hair. However, if you do, there are some things to keep in mind when growing your beard.
1. Nurture And Grow Your Beard
Having thin hair for a beard can be difficult to work with, so it’s vital that you give your facial hair the best chance that it has. This means taking supplements and using all-natural products like serums to promote beard growth and thicken your facial hair. These products are packed with vitamins, nutrients, and minerals that are aimed to help fill in those empty gaps.
2. Style and Groom The Beard
You may find that your options are limited if your beard is thin and patchy. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t style it to look your best. Keeping your hair trimmed with a grooming kit that includes combs and scissors will help your hair grow more. You can also use a beard-shaping tool to cut clean lines around your cheeks and neck. Hold the tool up to your face and shave around the contours of the tool. You will want to do this at least once a week, or more so your thin beard doesn’t get out of control.
3. Promote Healthy Facial Hair
Finally, ensure that you continue promoting a healthy beard by using shampoo and conditioner. These also include what your facial hair needs to grow and feel soft. You can also consider using beard oil or butter that will keep your beard hydrated throughout the day and looking sharp.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect thin beard.:
- Beard Growth Kit: This kit contains both supplements and a beard serum to promote a thick, full beard.
- The Expert Grooming Kit: Has everything you need to keep your beard looking sharp, including a comb, brush, scissors, shaping tool, and more.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Defined Beard
Growing a defined beard is all about clean lines, precision, and maintenance. Follow these steps to get the look.
1. Grow out your facial hair.
A defined beard should be on the shorter side (no longer than 1.5-2” in length) and uniform throughout. If you’re starting from a clean-shaven face, you’ll probably need anywhere between 1-2 months to get a full, uniform beard. If you struggle with patchiness or have trouble growing out your facial hair, try this beard growth kit that contains growth supplements as well as a growth serum.
2. Keep it trimmed.
Even as you’re growing out your beard, you’ll want to keep it trimmed and maintained. A shaping tool will be your best friend for this style. It’s all about clean lines and edges. Use the shaping tool along with a trimmer or razor to get an angled or curved line along your cheeks, as well as to remove the hair along your neckline. If you have a mustache, use trimming scissors to make sure it stays right at the lipline.
3. Moisturize and hydrate.
A defined beard should be the exact opposite of scraggly. This means you’ll need to moisturize your face and hair to prevent dry, brittle hair or beard dandruff. This set contains everything you need to maintain a defined beard: a shaping tool, beard oil, and beard balm to smooth and hydrate your beard.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect defined beard:
- Wild Willies Beard Growth Kit: to promote full, healthy growth.
- The Edge Shaping Tool: to get clean lines along your cheeks and neck line.
- Men’s Gift Set: contains a shaping tool, beard oil, and beard balm for smooth, hydrated hair.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Viking Beard
The Vikings were proud of their beards. They were a symbol of manliness and strength. Although they were usually long and full, they were well maintained. Follow these steps to nail this Scandinavian look.
1. Let your facial hair grow out.
If you’re starting from scratch, it may take several months to get a solid Viking beard. If you struggle to grow your facial hair, try some beard growth gummies that contain biotin, vitamin E, vitamin B5 and Vitamin A. Daily supplementation of your diet with these gummies will aid in beard health and help grow your beard faster.
2. Keep it clean with the right products.
Things can get hot and sweaty out there on the battlefield. After a long day, be sure to cleanse your face and beard thoroughly with a beard wash that will get rid of dirt and grime without stripping away precious sebum oil that your hair follices need.
3. Style and maintain it.
The Viking beard can take on a number of different styles, but the main thing is to keep it healthy and styled so it doesn’t look unruly. If your beard includes a mustache, keep it trimmed right above the lipline. Keep the sides of your beard trimmed to a uniform length, and if you are growing it out longer, be sure to brush it with a beard brush to keep your hair tame. Finish off your style by using a beard oil or beard butter to keep your facial hair soft and looking great.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect Viking beard:
- Growth Gummies: to promote healthy beard growth.
- Wild Willies Beard Wash: to cleanse your beard without stripping away natural oils.
- Beard Brush: to style your beard and keep your hair tame.
- Wild Willies Beard Oil: to soften your beard hair.

Long Amish Beard
How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Amish Beard Shape
Growing an Amish beard is a commitment. If you’re going to do it, you have to be in it for the long haul.
1. Grow, grow, grow.
Ultimately, you’re going to need to grow out your beard over a period of years. Typically, an Amish man stops cutting his beard when he gets married, as a symbol of commitment. (Amish men do not wear wedding rings.) For newlyweds who want to jumpstart their beard growth, try a growth supplement containing Biotin, which promotes hair growth.
2. Ditch the mustache.
If you struggle to grow a mustache, you’re in luck; this beard style requires you to not have a mustache. If you do grow a mustache, shave it daily using a razor and shave lube.
3. Trim clean lines above your jawline.
This beard starts right at or above the jawline, so everything above that should be clean-shaven. You can use a razor or your trimmer with no guard. Use a shaping tool to ensure clean lines.
4. Be patient.
As the beard grows, you may go through an awkward growth stage, but try to leave it alone and continue to let your beard hair grow. If the sides of your beard tend to get a bit unruly, you can use a beard brush and beard butter to brush the sides down and keep them tame. As the hair grows, you may want to use a beard straightener, too.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect Amish beard:
- Wild Willies Shave Lube: to get a close, clean shave.
- The Edge Beard Shaping Tool: to get clean lines above the jawline.
- Beard Balm and Butter Combo Set: to tame down the sides and keep this style looking well-groomed.
- Beard Straightener: for once your beard gets super long.

The corporate beard is an office-appropriate style that most businessmen can pull off. Here’s how to get a great-looking corporate beard.
Our Favorite Celebs With a Corporate Beard
Corporate beards, or “business beards,” as they’re often called, can vary in style, but they all have a few things in common. They’re well-trimmed and maintained, and are usually kept fairly short. Here are a few examples of different styles of a corporate beard.
The Traditional Corporate Beard

The Longer Corporate Beard

This is a longer take on the corporate beard and is appropriate for a more laid-back work atmosphere. It looks well-maintained and professional, while still allowing for a little more growth.
How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Corporate Beard
Since there are many different takes on the corporate beard, there will be some slight variations in how to grow one, but a few things are consistent throughout.
1. Grow out a healthy full beard.
You’ll want to grow out a full beard that is healthy and well-maintained. This means using the right products to avoid dry, flaky skin and brittle hair. As you're letting your facial hair grow out, be sure to use a good beard wash that will keep your skin clean without stripping your hair of natural oils. Then, moisturize daily with a beard oil and beard butter combo to soften and hydrate your skin and hair, all while promoting healthy growth.
2. Shave your neckline and below your cheekbones daily.
The most important part of growing a corporate beard that you can get away with wearing to the office is to keep it maintained. Use a razor and a shave lube to clean up the area below your chin and down your neck. You should also shave the area below your cheekbone. If you struggle to keep an even line around your cheek, use a shaping tool to help get clean lines.
3. Keep your facial hair trimmed and well-maintained.
As your beard grows, don’t neglect it. If you’re planning to keep it on the shorter side, use a 3-5mm guard on your trimmer to keep the length under control. If you want to let it grow a little longer, use scissors and a comb or shaping tool to trim away excess hair from the sides while you let the bottom part grow out a bit.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect corporate beard:
- Wild Willies Beard Wash: to cleanse hair and skin without stripping away natural oils.
- Beard Butter & Elixir Combo: to hydrate and soften skin and hair and maintain healthy growth.
- Shave Lube and a Shaping Tool: to get clean lines and prevent razor burn.
