How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Short Boxed Beard Shape
Growing a short boxed beard doesn’t have to be complicated, as long as you follow the right steps and use the best facial hair products. Here is how to grow one out.
1. Grow A Short, Groomed Beard
To grow the best-boxed beard that you can, you will first need to start out with a solid beard. You can take beard growth supplements and beard serum (for the patchy areas) to help you grow a thicker, fuller beard. Once your beard has grown half an inch to two inches, you will want to trim it with a beard trimmer or scissors. For this style, you need to keep those hairs short and uniform.
2. Shave Along The Chin Line And Neck Line
After your beard is trimmed and looking fresh, it’s time to shave off the unwanted hair and clean up those lines. A professional razor and beard-shaping tool will make the process smoother for you. Lather up your face with shaving lube, then place the shaving tool along your chin line. You can use the edges to get a nice, sharp square connecting your chin hairs with your sideburn hairs. Then use the tool again to shave the bottom of your neckline to have a professional look.
3. Keep The Beard Well-Maintained And Healthy
Finally, you will want to maintain your beard with healthy, natural products. Using shampoo and conditioner for your beard will keep it clean and soft. Then rub in a nice beard butter to give your facial hair the moisture and nutrients it needs to look healthy and vibrant. You can also shape your hair in the direction you want with a beard brush.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect short boxed beard:

- The Trendsetter Grooming Kit: Comes with everything you need, including shampoo and conditioner, to keep your beard soft and fresh.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Faded Beard Shape
Follow the steps below to grow a stylish faded beard that will impress everyone around.
1. Grow Your Beard To A Decent Length
To start, you need to grow a good medium beard size to work with. That means letting your facial hair grow at least one to two inches so that you have enough to work with. If you have trouble growing hair or your beard is patchy, pick up a bottle of beard serum designed to help you grow a luscious beard, especially in those patchy areas.
2. Trim Your Front Hair To The Right Size
Next, trim down the hair around your chin and lips. This is the part that needs to be the thickest for the fade to go into, so you want to get this size right first. You can leave it one or two inches or more if you like. Remember that if you trim too much here, you won’t have anything to work with to get the desired faded look. Beard clippers work great for keeping an even trim at the length you want without cutting off too much.
3. Cut A Fade From Your Hair Into Your Beard
Now comes the tricky part, and you will improve over time. You need to trim down your hair into a fade going from your beard up into your sideburns. The best way to do this is with a comb and beard clippers. You shave off the unwanted hair as you pass the comb through your beard. The comb sets the length of how much you trim.
Start closest to the chin hairs that you left long, and slowly trim back your hair little by little as you move down the jawline and into the sideburns. Don’t go too fast because if you cut too much off, you may ruin the fade and end up with something else.
4. Shave And Style Those Lines
Once you have the fade exactly how you’d like it, you can begin cleaning up your lines. Use a beard shaping tool to shave around the contours of your face, or create straight lines with the tool if you’d like. Make sure you use quality shave lube to give you the best shaving experience so that you don’t end up with bumps on your skin.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect faded beard:
- Beard Boost Serum: Use all-natural ingredients to promote a healthy and full beard.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Anchor Beard Shape
Follow these steps to get the perfect anchor beard.
1. Even out your beard hair length.
An anchor beard can look good with anything from a few days’ worth of stubble up to an inch or so in length. The important thing is to even out the length of your beard so it’s uniform throughout. You can use scissors and a comb, or you can use your trimmer. This grooming kit contains scissors, a comb, and a shaping tool to help you achieve a uniform length.
2. Shape your mustache.
You have a few options here for how you’d like to shape your mustache. Keep it straight across, angle it down, or flip it up at the sides; whatever you prefer. If you’re going to flip it up at the sides, use a beard butter to shape the sides.
3. Shape the “anchor.”
Next, you’ll need to use your razor or your trimmer without a guard to shape the anchor on your chin. You can make the anchor part as narrow or wide as you’d like, but a good rule of thumb is to leave about a 1” section of hair directly below the center of your lip. Then, keep some hair along your chin, going about as far out as your mustache or just a bit further. Be sure to use a shave lube to get a close shave.
4. Maintain your beard.
Maintain your beard by continuing to shave the negative space every day or so, and keep your facial hair uniform in length by trimming it up as needed. Be sure to wash your face daily and then moisturize with a soothing moisturizer that will keep your face and beard hair healthy and smooth.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Scruffy Beard Shape
Scruffy beard styles aren’t too difficult to grow and maintain because of their unruly nature, but there are some steps you’ll still want to keep in mind when growing one out.
1. Grow Out Your Beard
The first step is to grow out your beard. You may consider using supplements or a beard serum to support better hair growth, depending on your facial hair type. These products are designed with natural ingredients to provide the vitamins and minerals your follicles need to be healthy. Use your serum on any patchy areas to get them started.
2. Let It Run Wild
Let your beard grow out but don’t worry about keeping it too trimmed. The magic in the scruffy beard is that it is unkempt. That means you don’t have to worry about shaving or trimming up the lines of your cheeks or neck. Generally, this beard style is only one to two inches in length. Once your hair becomes too long, you will want to cut it back with a beard trimmer or scissors.
3. Take Care Of Your Beard Hair
That’s basically it; grow out your beard and let it loose. However, that doesn’t mean to let your beard get dirty and dehydrated. You will want to use products like beard shampoo, conditioner, and oil to keep your beard looking great. These products will keep your beard soft, hydrated, and full of the necessary ingredients to stand the test of time.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect scruffy beard:
- Beard Boost Serum: Uses caffeine and biotin to naturally grow and thicken your beard hair.
- Beard Growth Supplement: Daily supplements supply your facial hair with the ingredients it needs to stay healthy and strong.
- The Trendsetter Grooming Kit: Includes everything you need, like shampoo and conditioner, to keep your beard clean and soft.

The corporate beard is an office-appropriate style that most businessmen can pull off. Here’s how to get a great-looking corporate beard.
Our Favorite Celebs With a Corporate Beard
Corporate beards, or “business beards,” as they’re often called, can vary in style, but they all have a few things in common. They’re well-trimmed and maintained, and are usually kept fairly short. Here are a few examples of different styles of a corporate beard.
The Traditional Corporate Beard

The Longer Corporate Beard

This is a longer take on the corporate beard and is appropriate for a more laid-back work atmosphere. It looks well-maintained and professional, while still allowing for a little more growth.
How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Corporate Beard
Since there are many different takes on the corporate beard, there will be some slight variations in how to grow one, but a few things are consistent throughout.
1. Grow out a healthy full beard.
You’ll want to grow out a full beard that is healthy and well-maintained. This means using the right products to avoid dry, flaky skin and brittle hair. As you're letting your facial hair grow out, be sure to use a good beard wash that will keep your skin clean without stripping your hair of natural oils. Then, moisturize daily with a beard oil and beard butter combo to soften and hydrate your skin and hair, all while promoting healthy growth.
2. Shave your neckline and below your cheekbones daily.
The most important part of growing a corporate beard that you can get away with wearing to the office is to keep it maintained. Use a razor and a shave lube to clean up the area below your chin and down your neck. You should also shave the area below your cheekbone. If you struggle to keep an even line around your cheek, use a shaping tool to help get clean lines.
3. Keep your facial hair trimmed and well-maintained.
As your beard grows, don’t neglect it. If you’re planning to keep it on the shorter side, use a 3-5mm guard on your trimmer to keep the length under control. If you want to let it grow a little longer, use scissors and a comb or shaping tool to trim away excess hair from the sides while you let the bottom part grow out a bit.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect corporate beard:
- Wild Willies Beard Wash: to cleanse hair and skin without stripping away natural oils.
- Beard Butter & Elixir Combo: to hydrate and soften skin and hair and maintain healthy growth.
- Shave Lube and a Shaping Tool: to get clean lines and prevent razor burn.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Short Round Beard Shape
As its name indicates, a short round beard should be on the shorter side, meaning you can grow it out in less time than some other styles. Follow these steps to achieve the short round beard style.
1. Grow out your beard and mustache.
You need a mustache to balance out the short round beard, and we think a thick, full beard looks best. For optimal growth, we suggest using a growth serum along with a derma roller, which can increase the absorption of the growth serum by up to 500%. To use the derma roller, simply press it against clean skin and roll it up and down across your face after applying the growth serum.
2. Maintain the short length.
As your mustache begins to grow, you can keep it trimmed right above the lipline with a pair of trimming scissors from a grooming kit. To keep the short length of this beard style, use a trimmer or a pair of grooming scissors every week or so to keep your beard at a length of about 1”.
3. Keep your neckline clean.
On a round face, stubble that extends down your neckline isn’t a good look. Use a shave lube and a razor to keep the area below your chin stubble-free. If you’re using a safety razor, be sure to replace the blade at least once a week to keep it from getting dull.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect short round beard:
- Growth Serum: to jumpstart your beard growth
- Derma Roller: to increase absorption of growth serum
- Grooming Kit: includes trimming scissors and everything else you need to get a great beard
